Crafty Process
I received my first package today in the mail from my Secret Sister (from MaryJanes Farm www.MaryJanesFarm.org) It included the cutest strawberry printed apron along with lots of other goodies. It was all so adorable. In the package there was a quilted heart-shaped piece of fabric that I knew exactly what I would do with. I am trying to piece together a quilt based on pieces created from or received from women involved with MJFarms. Here is what I did with the piece:

The First One
Oh boy! Now, given my intro and all info listed in the "about me" section I would like to say that this blog will be packed with tons of geographical goodies and witty slang-but thats probably not going to happen. Right now I am actually in a tight spot. One that I have never found myself in before. Im unemployed from what I thought was going to be my ticket up the ladder to my dreams. In a relationship that on good days is "on the rocks" and I havent been out of the state in over a year. Not really the way I had been living the dream these past few years of adulthood.
So since I have oodles of interest I thought this would be a great way to share all those different things that I do (cuz they are so brilliant and amazing). While I do have as many friends as I do interest, it is hard for me to share which interests with which ppl sometimes. I really would like one place where I can be completely me with no judgment from anyone. I like to move around, but I want a hobby farm. I love being a vegetarian and in the city, but I equally love redneck men with big trucks and playing in the mud. (In the years of living in the city and being a vegetarian I have met one man that I deemed manly enough to date-its slim pickins out there) oh-that man married one of my good friends soon after I left. Funny enough, not the first time this has happened. Im what I like to call "The Starter GF" Men that date me marry the first woman they date after me or start a family. This is true-I have a record.
I digress. I think all-in-all this will be fun. Im crafty, love music, movies, my friends, and most of all animals-mine most importantly. Im also cking out this whole family thing. Been a bit on my own for most of my teenage and adult life and Im pretty sure I prefer it that way-but a few family things have happened in the past year which have lead me to start opening that door back up. Maybe we'll see that unfold over time as well. Right now Im looking for gainful employment either here in Arkansas which will probably lead to my current relationship moving forward seeing as how we are building a house. Or I will find a job or life elsewhere and in which case you, my friends can come join me on that. Either way-both will be new adventures.
